Welcome back Mr. Woodman. Pop by the shop sometime as we have an absolute killer Corolla project you'll drool over.
cheers...don
Don Nimi,
I had no idea team orange uses whiteline suspension products. The not so veiled comment that I smell like shit? You can do better than that. You have YEARS of experience. Thank you for making me feel young again old man.
PS I still have the cacc drifting specific rule book that Ed Smart and I worked on in the hospital before he died. I guess that rule book died right after when you took charge of solosport.

Winnipeg or Alberta drifters revived the ASN Canada sanctioning issue again last year, but I have dropped out of the "politics" side of racing, so not sure where that went.
(last time I saw you was on tv promoting Mopeds.....)

I'm doing home food production experiments now. Seafood with plants. Its much more rewarding science but doesn't pay yet. I've got a few systems setup around town and teach it in school for free now. Better than doing nothig I guess.
I think drifting is in the decline now and a rulebook just for it might not be needed anymore. Those were many days ago I guess. In all honesty I would love to see what you did with the corolla. I know it won't be run of the mill stuff, you always take things a lot farther and in new directions than other
I haven't worked in 5 years or so now. I did some alternative energy science. The scooter ran partialy on hydrogen it generated onboard. ICBC tested it at their special facility and it is the only device ever tested to do anything. Mine made more power. However the amount of parts in the system ( gas engine) was too complicated when compared to direct energy conversion through 98% efficient electric motors. It was bunk in the end, I couldn't keep on with the experiments. The whole shebang got a write up in Scoot magazine in the UK and it was on weather network for a while. It would add throttle response in a car engine but not enough to run it.

actually, drifting at the grassroots level exploded last year. i've never seen so many local events and so many opportunities for regular, unsponsored folk like myself to move up. Sorry i was never around to drive in your shitty gravel parking lot you called a venue, but i can't wait to show you a thing or two this year, its evident you're the one out of the scene and with no clue about how we do
yes i'm a poet, and i know it

I reply to one shit thread and here you are on another. I'm begining to think you have a thing for me. As for shit gravel parking lots? We have never once run in a parking lot and no events had gravel on them. All venues in BC were closed to drifting when I started event #1. I had to go over the CACC's head and send videos to the president of Jones Brown to get us insurance even. Then revscene got boundary bay shut down. Did it stop me? Nah man, I got us another track and another. Western Speedway wouldn't even entertain the idea until events were proved to draw at Saratoga. Have some respect. A lot of groundwork was done before Mr. Do even had a car.
PS I'll still cut you a moonroof because I'm not a cunt.

OH James, the things you have missed over the 5 years stuck in a hole.
I daily a GTR right now but it's going soon, I've had about 5 cars since you left. The drifting scene isnt weak out here, it's grown a fair amount in the past 5 years. From April-Sept you can pretty much find a drifting event every weekend within a few hours drive. It's come a long way since those VDS days

With all the hype I keep reading it better be different. Something tells me it's not. Maybe attendence is up from more drivers. VDS was good for when it was around. Like everything in life it should be improved by now.
I'm amazed you stuck with GTR, it's an expensive hobby! I look forward to seeing you again, good times ahead!
PS I wouldnt say I was stuck in a hole traveling around the world. I spent 8 months in winnpig building a house for my mom though, that was deff. the worst part of it. The rest was cake.
