Amrinder,

but I think the STOCK engine with 500 streetable hp should be more than satisfying, especially considering it's such a wildly unreliable engine to begin with. rolleyes.gif

What has 500 "streetable" hp? not ur 240 neither does your nova that cars nice and all but even your 400 hp estimate is a little steep for a essentially stock 6L.

The stock motor I think is listed at about 350 horse/380 torque. He's planning on boosting it so that 500 horse figure is feasible....i think that's what he meant.

I haven't read his posts, but my buddy's vega has a small block in it, pushing about 480whp, and it's NA

OK so maybe the 400 estimate was just a tad high, haha.

Stock LQ4 is rated at about 325hp and 375torque, but without the stock exhaust manifolds, and with a cold-air intake and PCM tune, I guess that frees up around 25-30hp. So about 350 or a bit higher is a more realistic estimate, but probably could fine 10-20 extra, or maybe even more, if I dyno-tuned it. Sorry for adding 50 internet-hp, guess that makes me look like a n00b.

I was going up a road with 2 lanes in each direction. I was in the left lane with a long advanced left-turn lane to my side. There was a big 80's GMC pickup waiting to turn left in his lane coming in the opposite direction to me. Guess he didn't see me cuz of all the cars to my side, he pulls out right in front of me as I enter the intersection. As soon as I saw a pickup front end right in front of me i swerved and braked, but it wasn't enough. Tagged my front side and bump me laterally into the corner curb. Good call on the swerve, or else it would've been a total head-on collision.

Was 100% his fault because his advanced green was way over and I had the green, but it still sucks because ICBC wrote the car off because the repairs were $300 more than they wanted to pay for it. At least no one was hurt and I could drive it around for a couple weeks to do errands with its tweaked camber and general bustedness.
